Prof | Updated Student View

This article will walk you through the updated student view in the ExPrep Portal

The new updates will likely be intuitive for students who are new to the platform, but might require some adjustments if you have any instructions written out. Below are a list of different actions and what the previous and current actions are:

To Download the Starting File

Previous Action:
Students clicked on the assignment name to download the starting file

Current Action:
Students click "download" on the right side of the screen to download the starting file

💡Note: If students need to download a fresh copy of the empty file, they then will need to click the three dots to the right of the Submit button and click "Download Assignment"

 

To Submit the Assignment

Previous Action:
Students clicked "Action," then "Submit," which brings up the "Choose file" dialog box

Current Action:
Students click "Submit," which brings up the "Choose file" dialog box

To View Graded Submissions

Previous Action:
Students clicked "Action", then "Download Best/Latest/First Submission"

Current Action:
Students click the 3 dots to the right of the submit button, then "Download Best/First/Latest Submission"

Other changes include:

  • Updated folder view (Folders expand rather than loading a new screen)
  • Desktop/Online indicator
  • Grades displayed on the main page to the second decimal
  • Time limits always visible on the main page
