# How Do I Upload an Assignment to the ExPrep Portal? \[Mac Users\]

## This article summarizes how to download an assignment file out of the ExPrep portal and how to return it back to the Portal for grading upon assignment completion.

To complete an ExPrep assignment, complete the following steps:

➡️Locate the appropriate assignment in the ExPrep Portal.

➡️Click on the **assignment name** to download it to your computer. 

➡️Use the **Finder** to navigate to your **Downloads** folder.

➡️Double click on the file to open it in Excel. 

‼️BEFORE you start working on the file, select **File** ➡️ **Save As **and save the assignment file to an appropriate folder that you will be able to locate when you are ready to submit.

💡We recommend creating a folder within your computer documents with the course name and then always using that particular folder to save your ExPrep assignments. 

➡️Complete the assignment in Excel. 

➡️**Save** the file.

➡️**Close** Excel.

➡️Return to the **ExPrep Portal**.

➡️Locate the ExPrep assignment. 

➡️Select **Action** ➡️ **Submit**.

➡️Select **Choose a File.**

**➡️**Locate the folder you created for this specific course and then locate the assignment file within that folder. 

**➡️**Select **Submit**.
